Wyk, William P. Van was born on December 3, 1874 in Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands. Son of Cornelius and Maria (Van Andel) Van Wyk.

Education

Came to the United States, 1893. Educated preparatory school of Calvin College and Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 1895-1899. Graduate Calvin Seminary, 1902.

Career

Ralph Heynen), Cornelia, (wife of Gelmer Van Noord, M.D.), Gerald Jacob. Became naturalized citizen of the United States, 1900. Ordained to the ministry of Christian Reformed Church, 1902.

Pastor successively New Holland, South Dakota, Sioux Center, Iowa, Oakdale Park Church, Grand Rapids, Orange City, Iowa, and since 1925, Eastern Avenue Church, Grand Rapids. Trustee Calvin College and Seminary since 1914 (now president of the board). President Christian Reformed Synod 4 terms to 1934.

Now retired. Author: (brochures) Manual for the Study of the Compendium of the Christian Religion (with Review W. Stuart), 1912. De Poortan Van Sion, 1913. Over the Top With God, 1918.
