Ordained Presbyterian ministry, 1904. Pastor Springville, New York, First Church, Seneca Falls, New York, to 1913. Board of Foreign Missions Presbyterian Church United States of America 1913-1948, executive secretary, 1921-1948.

Field representative Biblical Seminary in New York, from May 1948. Has served as president.
