Graduated from the United States Naval Academy, 1894, graduate Royal Naval College, England, 1897.

Career

Began as assistant naval constructor United States Navy, 1896, advanced through ranks to rear admiral Construction Corps, July 1, 1936. Served in Spanish-American War and Philippine campaign as assistant naval constructor. In World War as captain Construction Corps.

Decorated for service all 3 wars. Placed on retired list August, 1937. Technical assistant to president Bath (Maine) Iron Works Corporation since August, 1937.
