After leaving college, 1891, entered office of Manhattan Trust Company, becoming treasurer and director. Entered office of J. P. Morgan & Company, 1897, and was made member of firm in 1900, also member firms of J. P. Morgan & Company (New York City), Drexel & Company (Philadelphia), Morgan, Harjes & Company (Paris), Morgan, Grenfell & Company (London), retired 1921.
