Achievements include development and evaluation of new devices for vascular access in chemotherapy, dialysis and other treatments; development of microwave coagulation for hepatic resection and control of hemmorhage from other vascular organs; description and early characterization of macrophage derived tumor necrosis factor; research in use of pre-operative radiation in control of rectal cancer.
