State Bar of Michigan (Chairperson, Workers" Compensation Section, 1992-1993). Conklin, Benham, Ducey, Listman & Chuhran, Professional Corporation, was established in 1971, having separated itself from its predecessor law firm of Alexander, Buchanan & Conklin.
Mr. South. Gerard Conklin, now deceased, began his career in workers" compensation in 1927.
He, along with Mr. Robert L. Benham, now retired, are members of the Michigan Workers" Disability Compensation Hall of Fame, a forum instituted to recognize individuals for career achievement in the field Mr. Michael Gillman, primary counsel in our Traverse City office, is the former Chairperson of the Michigan Workers" Compensation Appeal Board.
In addition, Messrs. Donald G. Ducey and William R. Listman are former Chairpersons of the Workers" Compensation Section of the State Bar Association.
