Career

Began at 18 as clerk with Tootle & Hosea Company, wholesale dry goods, St. Joseph, Missouri. In banking business on own account, at Arlington, Kansas, 1886-1888. In banking at Macon, Missouri, 1888-1898.

Removed to St. Louis, 1908. President William R. Compton Company, investment bankers. Appointed receiver Kansas City Joint Stock Land Bank, 1927.
