Wiltbank, William White was born on March 27, 1840 in Stratford, Connecticut, United States. Son of Edwin Wilson and Elizabeth (Macpherson) Wiltbank.

Education

G.g.s. of Right Review William White, 1st P.E. bishop of Pennsylvania, who brought to America the succession of established Church of England. Educated Trinity College Hartford, Connecticut (honorary Master of Arts, 1868).

Career

Member general staff Union Army, 1862-1865. Admitted to Pennsylvania bar, 1866, later to bar United States Superior Court. Appointed by governor, judge Court of Common Pleas, 1st Judicial District of Pennsylvania, December 7, 1896.

Elected judge same district for term, 1898-1908, reƫlected for term, 1908-1918.
