Willie Hutchinson

Career

Not to be confused with the rugby union football player of the 1870s for England, William Charles Hutchinson (1856-1880) William "Billy" Hutchinson is an English professional rugby league football player of the 1930s and 1940s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Bradford Northern (twice), as a fullback, prop, second-row, or loose forward/lock, id est (that is) number 1, 8 or 10, 11 or 12, or 13.

Achievements

• Billy Hutchinson won 2 caps for England while at Bradford Northern. He made his international debut for England on February 26 1944 as a second row forward against Wales at Central Park, Wigan in the drawn 9-9 game. He then played loose forward on the 10 March 1945 in England"s 18-8 victory over Wales again at Central Park, Wigan.
