He studied architecture at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zurich (Diploma 1995, with honorable mention).
Career
From 1996 until 1997, he worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). Since 1997, he has been an independent architect in Zurich and in 2001 he founded E2A Architects with Piet Eckert. Most recently, Wim Eckert has been a visiting professor for Architecture and Sustainable Design at the HafenCity University in Hamburg.
