Wishnutama Kusubandio

Education

He completed his courses in communications at Mount Ida College in Boston, United States, but gained more knowledge of the television industry from Emerson College, Boston.

Career

He is a professional in the field of media. He started his career as a production assistant in New England cable news in the United States and became assistant director of on air promotion at WHDH-television, Boston. He gained his discipline and spirit of esprit de corps while studying at the Military College of Vermont, Norwich University.

In 1994 he returned to Indonesia and worked in Indosiar as supervisor of on air promotion.

A year later he moved to the production division as a producer and director and was later promoted to executive producer in the news and production division, and not long after that as production manager. Famous television programs that he created while in Indosiar are Pesta, Gebyar Bank Central Asia, Patroli and Saksi.

In 2001, he moved to Transport television to be the Head of Production Division. Three years later, his career rose to become the Director of Operations, and the next year became Vice President.

During the acquisition of TV7 majority stake by Connecticut Corporation in 2006, he was appointed as Managing Director of TV7 which later changed its name to Trans7.

Two years later, Wishnutama appointed as Managing Director of Transport television At Transport Corporation, The well known television programs such as Extravaganza, Dunia Lain, Termehek-Mehek, Opera Van Java, Empat Mata and Indonesia Mencari Bakat were produced under his leadership. Among others were awards from the Asian Television Award and Panasonic Awards. He has also been chosen as the Best Chief Executive Officer in Indonesia 2010 by SWA magazine.

In his leisure time, Wishnutama still managed to channel his love for music by forming a band called Soulful Corporation

"In this world nothing is perfect. But trying to be perfect, is a must." That is one of the mottos that always keeps him motivated at work.
