He is a founding member of the Austrian Ensemble for Contemporary Music (OENM). Very active on the international concert scene, as guitarist and lute-player with the Camerata Instrumentalis Salzburg, with his duo-partner, flautist Helmut Klöckl, and the Guttmann Family Ensemble.
Background
Wolfgang Guttmann was born on 11 September 1948 in Hallein. He graduated in guitar performance, the teaching of musical instruments and music in schools with an M.phil. and an M.A. He has been teaching at the Mozarteum University since 1974, and was appointed professor in 2000.

Frequent appearances as guitarist and lute-player in productions at the Salzburg Festival and at the Salzburg Landestheater.
