On 23 March 2015, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 254. On 29 February 2016, she peaked at world number 116 in the doubles rankings. Knoll made her Women's Tennis Association tour debut at the 2013 Budapest Grand Prix with a direct entry into the main draw, losing in straight sets to the former world-ranked number 11 Shahar Pe"er of Israel.
