Career
He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Renmin University of China Law School in 1962. Xiao Yang was the Minister of Justice from 1993 to 1998. He was elected as the President of the Supreme People"s Court in 1998 to replace Ren Jianxin and was re-elected in 2003 for the second term.
