Career
Xu earned a master"s degree in Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology. He then earned a Ph. Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004. He has held the positions of the Executive Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, Director-General and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Hi-tech Industry, National Development and Reform Commission of China.
