Yagi Ichiro graduated from Tokyo Higher Sericultural School (1923).
Yagi Ichiro served successively as engineer of Tokyo and Aichi Prefectures, Agriculture & Forestry Ministry, Koa-in (Asian Development Board), and Greater East Asia Ministry. Retired from the government service and became secretary of All-Japan Agricultural Association (1946).
Yagi Ichiro elected three times to House of Representatives (since 1947) and served as vice-chairman of Political Affairs Research Committee and member of Executive Board of Liberal Party. He went to U.S.A. as envoy of Japanese silk industry (1950).
