She is currently Professor of Biblical Studies at Tel Aviv University. In 2012 a Festschrift was published in her honor. Words, Ideas, Worlds: Biblical Essays in Honour of Yairah Amit () included contributions from Athalya Brenner, Cheryl Exum, and Yael Feldman.
