Until World War 1 worker From 1918 in Red Army. 1918-1921 commander of a Red Guard detachment, commander of a column, 11 th Army, assistant brigade commander, brigade commander, commander of 33rd and 5th Cavalry l)iv. assistant commander, 3rd Cavalry Corps.

1920 led successful cavalry raid into rear of Wrangel’s army in northern Tavrida. 1921-1924 commander, 16th Cavalry Division, military comissar, KarachayCircassian Autonomous Oblast. 1928-1935 exec posts in military industry.
