Career
From 1897 did geological research in Far East (Sikhota-Alin’, Manchuria, Northern China) and in the Pamirs. From 1908 worked for Geological Committee, then for All-Union Geological Research Institute. Did geological research in Minusinsk Basin and neighboring mountains.
Wrote first general description of the geological features of the West Siberian Plain. Specialized in geomorphology. Member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Geographical Social.
