From 1885 worked at F. A. Blinov’s workshops in Balakov. 1893-1895 built self-propelled cart fitted with internal combustion engine - the prototype of the modern tractor. 1899-1908 designed engine with pumpoperated fuel vaporization and compression ignition.
From 1913 at Balakov Plant he began to produce tractors fitted with the first 25-45 hp compression-ignition engines. From 1937 associate, Chelyabinsk Institute for Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture Where he designed various engines and instruments.
