She became Costa Rican citizen in 2011 while living in London United Kingdom, where she studied from 2009 until 2013. She graduated from University of West London majoring in Film Production.

Soy otra mujer cuando me visto de soledad y me pongo los tacones mudos. Cuando tomo en manos la llave y me encierro en la poesía, la que calma mi miedo; la loca, escandalosa, egocéntrica poesía de los corazones. Cuando camino por las calles fantasmagóricas, yo, oda fantasmal, como una maniática más, invisible de la noche que habla de metáforas con nadie y me hago llamar antipoesía ligera. Con el perdón de Nicanor. Soy otra mujer. Sola, libre, en verso; cuando me pongo el traje del cajón poético.

Her poems have been published in several literary journals and magazines including Academy of Sciences, Isla Negra, Poetas del mundo, Guatini, Cinosargo, Arcane Radio, and Radio Momentos, "El País". Her career as a poet began In 2006 when she self-published her book "Louisiana pasión detrás de la ventana", three years after she moved to Costa Rica. Her father, Pedro M. Calzadilla Guevara, who was also a poet, died in 2008.
In 2009 She introduced her book "Mi miedo sólo mío", in Barbican Centre and paid tribute to her father.
