She won the 2006 South American Championships as well as a gold medal in the 2007 Pan American Games, both held in Rio de Janeiro. In the following year won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics and now ranks 2nd in the modern pentathlon, preceded only by the 2012 Olympic winner, Laura Asadauskaitė of Lithuania.
