Career
Known for playing one of the leading roles in the Universal Pictures film Doom alongside Dwayne Johnson and Rosamund Pike, he is currently starring alongside Manchester United players Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs in a commercial for Aeroflot. Yao was a United Kingdom network news reporter, spending four years reporting on the Independent Television News" Morning News programme where he covered national and international stories. Yao worked as an assistant news editor and Westminster producer at Independent Television News during college.
Upon graduating, he was hired by Independent Television News.
Working overnights, he was responsible for news gathering for ITN and the Independent Television News network, and he reported on subjects from politics and the economy, to foreign disasters and sport. In 2015, Yao starred in a commercial campaign for Aeroflot as a Manchester United supporter.
He has also appeared in numerous other adverts and corporate videos.
