Yaroslav is a Belarusian politician and economist.
The head of the research center Mises, the founder of the Belarusian school of liberal sustainable development, the author of more than one thousand articles and six books on economic topics, one of the developers of the Anti-Crisis Platform of the United Democratic Forces.
He was nominated as a candidate for the presidency of Belarus from the United Civil Party in the 2010 elections.
Background
Yaroslav Romanchuk was born on 10 January in 1966 in Belarus.
His parents are ordinary people from Sopotsk village in the Grodno region. Dad was a gas specialist and an electrician. He worked all his life on the land, had no higher education. Mom graduated from the technical school of the dairy industry. She worked for about 43 years in one place, at a dairy factory in his native village.
