Background

VOSHCHAK, Yaroslav was born in 1921 in Brody, Ukrainia.

Education

1929-1938 studied at Stryy Branch, Lvov Lysenko Music Institute. 1940-1941 studied at Lvov Conservatory.

Career

1941-1944 choirmaster, 1944-1953 producer, Lvov Theater of Opera and Ballet. Productions inch: Tchaikovsky’s “Pikovaya dama” (The Queen of Spades). Borodin’s “Knyaz Igor” (Prince Igor).

Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov”. Dankevich’s “Bogdan Khmelnitsky”. Meytus’ “Molodaya gvardiya” (The Young Guard).

Kireyka’s “Lisova pisnya” (Forest Song), etc.
