Career
He served Shogun Yoshimasa Ashikaga around 1469 and became well known for the iron kettles he made for the Shogun. He later became a Buddhist priest and assumed the name of Yaami. Although some kettles, said to have been made by him, are prized as Higashi-YamorTnono by tea ceremony masters, they bear no inscription of his name and may have been made by some other person.
