Yasuyo Yoshimine-no

Background

Yasuyo Yoshimine-no was born in 785 in Japan. He was the son of Emperor Kammu and younger brother of Fuyutsugu Fujiwara.

Career

Yasuyo Yoshimine-no and Sadanushi Shigeno jointly compiled the Keikokushu (collection of poems of the period 707-827). He often advised the Emperor in the selecting of officials for high posts in the administration. Was also a noted archer.
