1920 graduate Odessa Theatrical School.
From 1915 stage director in Kishinev and Odessa. 1928 helped found Khar'kov Young Playgoers’ Theater. 1930-1936 worked in Moscow at former Korsh Theater, Young Playgoers’ Theater and Centr Theater of the Red Army.
Then at Rostov, Gorky, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk theaters. From 1954 chief stage director, Chelyabinsk Theater. From 1923 taught drama.
