Helped found Central Asian University in Tashkent. Organized and took part in expeditions: 1913 to river basins of Amu-Darya and Syr-Darya. 1914-1916 to Kara-Kum.
1917 to Kopet-Dagh; 1921 to Turgay. 1923 to Talass Alatau. 1927 to Dzhalyal-Abad canton of Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic.
1928-1934 to the Chirik-Angren Basin, Makhandarya and Betnakdala. Later to the Pamirs, AJtay, etc. Described more than 100 new species and 8 new genera of Central Asian flora.
1955 and 1957 elected and reelected Presidium member and Chairman, Biological Dept, of Agriculture Science, Uzbek Academy of Sciences. Deputy, Uzbek Supreme Soviet of 1955 convocation. PubL: over 120 works.
