Transport engineer; USSR Minister of Transport Construction since 1954; Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, since 1961. two Order of Lenin; Order of Red Banner of Labor; Order of Red Star; medals. Member, Communist Party, since 1942.


KOZHEVNIKOV, Yevgeniy was born in 1905 in Tsaritsyn, now Volgograd.


1927 graduated Leningrad Institute of Transport Engineering. 1928 graduated Frunze Military Communications School, Leningrad.


1928-1936 on construction of Turkestan-Siberian railroad, then of Kuznetsk Metallurgical Combine and Kuznetsk Locomotiveand Car-Building Plant. 1936-1940 Chief Engineering, Southern Urals Heavy Industry Construction Trust. 1940-1943 Chief Engineering in construction of Orsk Metallurgical Plant, then again in Southern Urals Heavy Industry Construction Trust.

1943-1944 in United States of America to receive lend-lease material and equipment for USSR, then Chief, Main Board of Special Construction. 1945-1949 Collegium member, then Deputy Chairman, USSR State Planning Committee. 1949-1954 exec, posts with USSR Council of Ministers.

1954 USSR First Deputy Minister of Construction.
