Led more than 160 medical expeditions to Central Asia, Siberia, Crimea, Transcaucasus, Far East and other regions of USSR to combat tick-borne relapsing typhus, tick-borne encephalitis, mosquito fever, malaria, leishmaniasis, typhus and other parasitic infections.

Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1946, 1950, 1954 and 1958 convocation. Deputy, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Supreme Soviet of 1959 convocation. Works deal mainly with poisonous animals, enteroprotazoan and worm invasions, parasite cenosis, regional and landscape parasitology, cycles of parasite development, fauna of bloodsucking insects and methods of combatting them.
