SHRAMKOV, Yevgeniy was born in 1894 in Voronezh.
1921 graduated Electromech. Department, Petrograd Polytechn. Institute.
Specialist in electrical and magnetic measurement. Since 1921 postgrad, student, instructor, then Professor, and Head of a chair. Leningrad Polytechn. Institute.
1922-1928 simultaneously senior Assistant, since 1928 Head, Magnetics Laboratory, Main Bureau of Weights and Measures. 1935 occupied nonmagnetic hall to hold state standards of intensity of magnetic field, flux and moment. 1945-1947 developed classification of electrical measuring instruments.
Author of more than 50 works on measurement, including textbook “Kurs elektricheskikh i magnitnykh izmereniy” (A Course on Electric and Magnetic Measurement) (1937).
