Studied at Moscow University. From 1909 at Artificial Intelligence Adashev’s Acting School, Moscow Arts Theater. From 1911 actor, Moscow Arts Theater.
Studied under Stanislavskiy. From 1911 taught Stanislavskiy method at various Moscow schools and studios. From 1912 actor and stage director, 1st Studio, Moscow Arts Theater.
After 1917 October Revol worked for Stage Director Section, Theater Department, People's Commissariat of Education. 1918 founded short-lived People's Arts Theater. From 1920 head, 3rd Studio, Moscow Arts Theater (1926 reorganized into Vakhtangov State Theater);Roles: Tackleton in “The Cricket on the Hearth”, after Dickens.
