When the Deputy Battalion Commander of the 32nd Guards Rifle Regiment (61st Army, Central Front), Generalov distinguished himself by crossing the Dnieper and fighting in battle for the bridgehead near the village of Grushets (Loevsky District, Gomel Region, Belorussian SSR) in September 19, 1943.
On the house where Generalov lived (Moscow Avenue, 109), a memorial plaque was installed in 2001.
