His previous clubs included Zenit Leningrad, Dynamo Leningrad, Zhemchuzhina Sochi, Irtysh Omsk, Meliorator Kyzylorda in Kazakhstan (at that time Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics) and Football Club Seoul of the South Korean K League, then known as LG Cheetahs.
