From 1894 worked at a weaving mill in Ivanovo-Voznesensk. 1897 joined revol movement. From 1898 attended Social-Democratic circles run by IvanovoVoznesensk Workers’ Union.
1899 imprisoned for 18 months in Kresty Jail, Saint St. Petersburg. 1905 member, Ivanovo-Voznesensk City Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Committee and member, Ivanovo-Voznesensk Soviet of Workers’ Deputy. 1906 deleg from Moscow Party organisation at 4th Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress.
1907 arrested and exiled to Sol’vychegodsk. 1909 returned Irom exile and worked in Saint St. Petersburg and Moscow. October 1911 exiled to Nizhniy Novgorod.
February 1914 returned to Saint St. Petersburg and conducted Party work in ’’Bureau for Supplying Illegal Literature from Abroad”. 1916 arrested and assigned to military unit at Shadrinsk, but fled to Nizhniy Novgorod, where he took an active part in 1917 February Revol. 1917 assistant chairman and Presidium member, Nizhniy Novgorod City Soviet.
Bolshevik representative in State Duma. After 1917 October Revol worked for Nizhniy Novgorod Province Food Committee and Economic Council.
