He is the brother of Israeli Olympic fencer Lydia Hatuel-Zuckerman (winner of 16 Israeli championships and participant in three Olympic Games), and uncle of Israeli Olympic fencer Delila Hatuel and Israeli fencer Maor Hatuel.
