In 1910, left Waseda University without graduating, following year became student playwright of Kabukiza Theater.
Career
In 1921, became chief of Literature Department of Teigeki (The Imperial Theater), became non-regular staff member of Toho Troupe in 1930, presently serves as director of Japan Dramatic Society. Writes dramatic reviews for Sangyo-Keizai Shivibun newspaper.
