Career
Was an opportunist and wormed himself into the favor of regent Kaneie and Michinaga Fujiwara by giving them large sums of money. As a result of this he became an important figure in politics. Was admitted to Imperial Court and was in turn appointed Lord of Settsu, Ise, Mino and other provinces. Later he married the daughter of a powerful official and thereby was appointed commissioner of police in Kinki District and guard of Imperial Court. Was well versed in vxika poetry and some of his poems were included in the anthology which was compiled under Imperial decree.
