Background
He is the scion of MINAMOTO clan (SEIWA GENJI: Yamana branch); his farther's official family name is YAMANA (the historically-succeeded surname is MINAMOTO or MINAMOTO-NO-ASON).
His great-grandfather is Koshichi Iwata who was a co-founder of the DAIDO LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY, Japan (also a founder of Shinsyu life insurance company and a founder of Asahi life insurance company). His grandfather is Mosaburo Makita who was a founder of MAKITA CORPORATION (one of the world-wide electric machine companies), Japan.
Education
He has been awarded two doctor degrees; one in mathematics (Osaka University, 2006), and the other in physics (The University of Tokyo, 2008).
Career
His primary interest is the operator theory in association with the operator algebra. There are some papers treating the fundamental property of infinitesimal generators, groups, and semigroups.
From applicational point of view, He is interested in the nonlinear mathematics (e.g., soliton property) in sub-atomic physics. Neutrinoless double-beta decay is also studied. This study is associated with clarifying the fundamental property of neutrinos such as Majorana or Dirac neutrino nature.
