Yoritō Toki was born in Mino Province (Gifu Prefecture), the son of Yorisada.
Yoritō Toki serving in the Kamakura Shogunate, he became shugo, or military commissioner, in Mino. Later served the Ashikagas. Was defeated by Imperial forces (1835) when he fought under Tadayoshi Ashikaga but later distinguished himself in battles under Takauji Ashikaga and lived in an extravagant way. Was put to death for insulting Emperor Kōgon.
