Yoshichika Tsuboi was born in 1657, Kawachi (Osaka Prefecture), Japan.

Education

In Kyoto Yoshichika Tsuboi studied the ancient traditions and culture of Japan under the name of Naisho Hirata.

Career

Yoshichika Tsuboi wrote many books on the subject, including Shokugenshokai (Commentary of Shogensho, or historical notes concerning Court offices and ranks), Genji Danjo Shozokusho (Commentary of clothes in Geni Monogatari) and Malcura-nc-Soshi Shozokusho (Commentary of clothes in Mafcura-no-Soshi).
