In 1932 she went to Moscow as an employee of the Japanese Embassy and studied the harp there for five years. In 1937 - went to Paris as an exchange scholar and studied the harp under Marcel Tournier at the Paris Conservatory until 1944.
Career
On returning she became an instructor in the music section of the Tokyo Art University and is considered one of the foremost Japanese harpists.
