Yoshihide Yamada was born in 1893 in Saga Prefecture, Japan.
In 1920, Yamada graduated from English Law Department of Tokyo University.
Yoshihide Yamada entered Communications Ministry and served as a Postmaster at Okayama City. During 1928-1929, he made inspection tour of Europe . In 1929, he became an Appointed chief of Accounting Section of Accounting Bureau of Communications Ministry, chief of Archives & Documents Section of the same bureau, director of Nagoya and Tokyo District Communications Bureaus, and director of Kokukyoku (Air Board).
In 1943, Yamada Yoshihide retired from the government service and became a president of Hokkaido Electric Power Distribution Company. In 1953, due to reorganization of electric power industry renamed the above company Hokkaido Electric Power Company and continued as a president. Since 1953 he was a President of Kita-Nippon Koku Kaisha (North Japan Aviation Company).
He held additional posts of chief director of Hokkaido Sangyo Kurabu (Hokkaido Industry Club), president of Hokkaido Badminton Association, counselor of Hokkaido Employers' Association and Hokkaido Denki Kyokai (Hokkaido Electricity Association).
