Background
Yoshikane Oishi was born in 1688, Japan. He was a son of Yoshio, the head of the Loyal League. His common name was Chikara.
After Lord Naganori Asano of Ako committed harakiri and his domains confiscated by the Shogunate for having injured Yoshinaka Kira in the Shogun's castle, Yoshikane lived with his father in Yamashina near Kyoto.
