Yoshiki Kondo was born in 1801.
After studying under such masters as Ibun Yamada and Ohira Motoori was appointed teacher at Meirin Kanin Hagi (clan school). After the Meiji Restoration (1868) Yoshiki Kondo was made a judge of the Annual Pageant of Poetry held at Imperial Palace together with Bisei Fukuha. Later was placed in charge of literature.
