Yoshio Inoue graduated from Kyoto University (1927). Studied German literature and modern philosophy, but also known as student on existentiaiistic and religious thoughts of Kierkegaard, Dostoevski and Barth.

Yoshio Inoue edited the magazine, Kiriffutokyd Bunka (Christian Culture). Professor of the Tokyo Theological University (of the Japan Christian Association).

Actively participates in peace movement as conscientious Christian.
