Yoshio Kokusho graduated from Agriculture Department of Kagoshima Higher Agricultural & Forestry School (1916). Entered Agriculture & Commerce Ministry and studied in the USA as a student apprentice of that Ministry.
After returning home became chief engineer of Hokuriku Seinyu (Milk) Company and superintendent of Ryogoku Plant of Meiji Seika (Confectionery) Company (1923). Yoshio Kokusho entered Meiji Nyugyo Company (1941) and after serving as director of its City Milk and Production Departments became its director (1944) and then senior managing director. He served also as president of Ma-ruai Sangyo (Industrial) Company and Tokyo Nyuki (Milk Manufacturing Machinery) Company. Holds various additional posts including that of chairman of Zenkoku Inyo Gyunyu Kyokai (National Association of Producers of Potable Milk).
