He graduated from Electricity and Metallurgy Department of Tokyo University in 1917. While serving at Nihon Seiko Kaisha (Japan Steel Company) he studied at Postgraduate Department of the same university (from 1919).
Career
After studying he served with Hokkaido Tanko Kisen Kaisha (Coal Mine & Steamship Company) and Muroran Dentosho (Electric Light Company) and became managing director of Nishi Coal Mine, Yubari Seisakusho (Plant) and Muroran Dentosho.
Became president, of Nisso Seisakusho (Japan Soda Company) (1941) and assumed additional posts of managing director of Japan Soda Company, auditor of Kyushu Soda Company and president of Nisso Kogyo Kaisha (Japan Soda Industry Company).
Began serving exclusively as president of Nisso Seisaikusho (1945).
