Yoshizumi Yokoe was born in 1887 in Toyama, Japan.
Yoshizumi Yokoe graduated from Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts (1914).
His work was accepted for the first time at the 12th Bunten Exhibition (1918). The sculpture Boyd (Looking at the Ocean) was awarded a special prize at the 7th Teiten Exhibition, and then at the 8th Teiten Exhibition the Taishu (The Masses) received the Imperial Fine Arts Academy Prize. From the 10th Teiten Exhibition became judge, and then judge of Bunten and Nitten exhibitions. In 1930 and 1936 visited Europe.
